Salim

Salim, 30, cannot return to Iraq - like all destitute asylum seekers, he cannot access public funds or even hostels for the homeless. He has slept in police stations, bus stations and parks. He was eventually accepted for 'section 4 accomodation'.

Knock Knock...

Campaigners in Edinburgh hold a vigil outside the First Ministers official residence after a rise in Dawn Raids, three of them were later invited in to speak to a Scottish Cabinet Minister (Des McNulty) and concerns were raised. Less than a few weeks later, Jack McConnell announced Home Office plans to review all Legacy Cases. The BIA later confirmed these plans.
