Positive Action in Housing depends upon a diverse and large membership base. Membership is open to individuals and public/voluntary sector organisations who support Positive Action in Housing's aims and objectives.

Full Membership is open to the following categories

Black & minority ethnic groups (non profit/charitable)
Refugee groups
Voluntary organisations
Housing associations, co-operatives
Councils
Educational establishments, research bodies,
Individuals
trade unions, others (associate membership only)

Positive Action in Housing is run by a management committee comprising minority ethnic & refugee groups, housing providers, voluntary organisations and individuals. The committee are elected by members at the Annual General Meeting.

The management committee meets six times a year. There are two sub committees dealing with finance and personnel matters. Each sub committees meets four times a year.

The management committee may also co-opt members onto the committee.
