TACKLING RACIST INCIDENTS: A TOOLKIT FOR SCOTTISH HOUSING PROVIDERS

Positive Action in Housing launched our Tackling Racist Incidents: a Toolkit for Scottish Housing Providers, at the Scottish Parliament on Wednesday the 5th of March 2008.  

By working in partnership with people from our client group who have experienced racial harassment and with a working party of housing providers, Positive Action in Housing have revised and updated our 1997 model racial harassment procedures.  

This has resulted in the production of a free resource offering;  

• practical advice,model policies,

• template forms,

• legislation and

• best practice examples

We have worked hard to make this website and guidance as clear and user friendly as possible to enable it to assist housing workers to support tenants facing racial harassment and assist policy makers and managers to put the framework in place that allows this to happen. 

Speakers will included MSPs, representatives from grassroots community organisations, housing bodies and others.
