Community Engagement Training - Working with Communities, including BME groups
Course Outline:
This course will show you the key steps to help your organisation to effectively engage with everyone in your areas of operation, particularly with those communities who are historically under-represented or less likely to participate as members, workers or service users.
Who should attend?
Anyone involved in tenant participation or community involvement with BME communities. This course is particularly relevant to people working in public and statutory organizations, social work, housing, welfare, education, employment, health, community development or the justice system.
Course Outcomes:
By the end of the day you will:
- Addressing the challenges to engagement of BME communities and individuals
- Applying standards effectively for BME engagement
- Applying lessons learned to contribute to mainstreaming equality and diversity within your organisation
