Course Content:

The legislative background for equality and diversity has expanded and increased over the last two years, with new and amended legislation to all equality strands, including race and ethnicity, age, disability, gender, faith and belief, and sexual orientation, as well as Human Rights.

 

The aim of this course is to ensure that attendees are aware of this opportunities legislation, and what this means in practice for organisations. The course considers some of the key issues that relate to and contribute to, potential discrimination, and how such issues and challenges can be tackled.

 

The course also provides a context to equality and diversity, and explores what this means for organisations, taking account of the legislative framework and what this means for staff, customers, clients and other stakeholders.

 

The course will include detailed handouts on all the relevant legislation that can be used as a continuing reference point for participants.
