WHO'S IT FOR AND WHAT'S IT ABOUT?
Impact assessments are mandatory for public sector organisations and their partners. This highly popular one day course will give you a practical understanding of such assessments and how to make them practical to your organisations equality & diversity approach.
COURSE CONTENT
Presentation , case studies and discussion. Please not you are invited to bring a piece of work that you are required to "impact assess". to carry out an initail assessment.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Public bodies/authorities: who now legally have to carry out assessments.
Housing Associations that work with public authorities, and need to be involved
in carry out such assessments. Community/Voluntary and other organisations that
are funded, or work with public bodies and will need to have a good
knowledge/understanding of such assessments.
COURSE OUTCOMES
By the end of the day you will be able to :
•Understand what equality impact assessments mean in practice to your equality & diversity approach
• Develop initial practical experience of carrying out an equality impact assessment
• Review your own organisations practice.
