Positive Action in Housing (PAiH) Training

Focused, Practical, Making a Difference

PAiH has over 16 year's experience of working in the voluntary and social sectors in Scotland. During this time, we have developed a deep and long-standing relationship with stakeholder organisations within the voluntary, statutory and public sectors. These have been based on mutual respect and trust, and have been developed through referral protocols, collaborative working, advocacy, and through offering service users continuing advice and support.

Our training is centered on our work of ensuring that organisations are aware of the background and relevant issues relating to migrant, refugee and BME communities, also within an equality and diversity context. It is part of our mission to inform and support organisations in their work with these communities.

Following a review of training needs in Scotland, we designed a range of equality & diversity courses. We provide a high quality training service, targeted at statutory and public sector bodies within the housing sector and beyond, as well as with community and voluntary organisations.

We provide targeted courses and briefings on areas directly related to the work of PAiH in communities, building on our expertise and experience. We also provide in-house training to meet your organisations training needs.

Our trainers are highly experienced and knowledgeable in the areas in which they train. Importantly, they are aware of the challenges, background and practicalities of the subject areas where training is delivered.

Our intention is to deliver information in such a way that it has a resonance with the day to day world and work of participants attending each course. Our training courses are participative, though provoking, practical, stimulating and even fun.
