Remembering Karen Abrams
5 August 2023
Karen and her husband, Revd Len Abrams, volunteered with and supported the work of Positive Action in Housing since 2015 when the Syrian refugee crisis began. The couple were ambassadors for our Room for Refugees programme.

There will be a Memorial Thanksgiving Service for Karen at 2 pm (UK time) on Saturday, 12 August, at Christ Church, South Nutfield.
Len wishes to honour the memory of his beloved wife, who passed away on July 31, by asking for donations to be given to Positive Action in Housing's Room for Refugees programme, a cause that was near and dear to Karen’s heart.
Together, they provided shelter and pastoral support to people from refugee backgrounds and encouraged others to get involved too. (See also Readers Digest and the Guardian).
A message from Revd Len Abrams, Karen's husband:
"Karen was a passionate supporter of the rights of others. Together we were blessed to host several super people in our home through the work of Positive Action in Housing. Karen provided friendship, comfort and support to them over the years. I know she would have liked any gifts in her memory to support the frontline work of the staff and volunteers at Positive Action in Housing."
