As the city with the largest refugee population outside London, and in the absence of a robust social housing building programme, Glasgow and Scotland's housing crisis is only getting worse.
Throughout the year, our homelessness team supports refugee and asylum-seeking families who have fled war and persecution in countries like Syria, Palestine, Yemen, Afghanistan, Iran, and Ukraine and need emergency support. We provide vital information, advice, and support for long-term casework to help people secure long-term accommodation so they can finally begin rebuilding their lives and contributing as equal citizens. We also accept referrals of refugees for temporary hosting through our Room for Refugees Network.
Regular donations especially enable us to plan life-saving interventions. All funds go directly to supporting those in housing who need to rebuild their lives. The gift aid raised will support our Destitution Service.
